A&R Select to Sponsor Film Music Event at Sundance Film Festival

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — A&R Select, the leading independent A&R firm in Hollywood, has announced it will be a participant in America’s leading independent film festival. A&R Select will sponsor an event highlighting “Music for Films” at the Sundance Film Festival.
The festivities, held on January 25, from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m, at the Star Bar on Main Street in Park City, Utah, will be hosted by Matt Sorum of the superstar rock act Velvet Revolver.
In addition, A&R Select will throw a launch party for its sister publishing endeavor, A&R Approved, during the popular film festival. The event also celebrates one of A&R Select’s recent success stories, recording artist JANA, who is currently received a 2007 Grammy nomination.
A&R Select will also be touting music’s role in film by providing compilation CD’s featuring a sampler of A&R Select’s top artists. This will give music supervisors and industry participants the chance to touch base with talented indie bands who could set the right tone for their films.
Promotional sponsors also include Monster Energy Drink and 944 Magazine. The event is being produced by Mixology, producers of GQ’s Man of the Year activities, the Elton John Oscar Party, and L.A. Fashion Week.
