BERLIN, Germany /Music Industry Newswire/ — Native Instruments today announced that Mate Galic has been named new CTO and President of the company, and has been appointed as Deputy to CEO Daniel Haver. He will succeed company founder Stephan Schmitt on the management board. Mate Galic joined Native Instruments in 1999 as a shareholder, following a career as one of Europe’s most prolific protagonists in the emerging electronic dance music scene. His strong passion for music technology and his focus on workflow and usability aspects made him acquire a central role in the company’s product design, with his recent position as Head of Product Design and Chief Strategic Officer.

In his new role as CTO, Mate Galic will direct a new joint department that covers technological research, product design and hardware/software development at Native Instruments. He will further advance the company’s recent paradigm shift – from feature-centric software applications to integrated solutions that combine Native Instruments’ leading standards for functionality, quality and sonic flexibility with forward-thinking creative concepts, intelligent workflow and innovative interface design.

Previous President Stephan Schmitt will now fully concentrate on his crucial role in Native Instruments’ product development, with a special focus on hardware engineering and the further evolution of the groundbreaking REAKTOR platform.
