LONDON /Music Industry Newswire/ — SAE Institute’s new London campus may have moved to Shoreditch back in 2008, but the official launch party was held recently to celebrate the opening of this bespoke new facility that’s set to become a beacon of excellence for anyone wanting to learn how to produce audio or film.

Over 150 people attended the celebrations, including graduates, engineers and producers, media and equipment manufacturers. Entertainment was provided by SAE students, who DJd and VJd the night away.

Guests were shown around the new seven-storey facility during a champagne reception, and were given the chance to investigate every corner of this cutting edge college. Spread over the 18,000 square feet are no fewer than 11 state of the art audio studios, a film mixing studio with ‘green screen’ capabilities, 4 video editing studios and a 76-seater theatre.

Matthias Postel, manager of SAE London said: “For 24 years now SAE London has been delivering real-world creative media tuition that is relevant, which is precisely why so many of our students go on to gain employment in their relative fields of expertise. And now with this latest move – to the UK capital’s creative heartland – we’re now in a position to raise the bar considerably in terms of the facilities and equipment that our students learn their trade on. The official party to open the new campus has been a great success – thanks to all who attended and helped make it such a special night.”

Tom Misner, owner of SAE Institute said: “London has always been a mecca for global film and music production, so it’s fitting that with the relaunch of the new campus we’re lifting our London facility to as yet unseen heights of excellence. A relaunch of such significance needs a great relaunch party, and I’m proud to say that we delivered this when we celebrated the official opening of the college on 26th February. I’d like to thank everyone who took time out to come and celebrate with us, be they manufacturers, graduates, producers, lecturers, engineers, musicians, or media partners. With the best equipped studios and classrooms split over seven floors I’m happy to say that SAE London is now better placed than ever to train future generations of music and film producers!”
