New York, NY /Music Industry Newswire/ — AVATAR STUDIOS is one of the most prestigious and legendary recording facilities in the world. On Monday evening, October 19, AVATAR STUDIOS will once again make history when it will host its first ever “Ask The Producers” panel featuring Steve Lillywhite, Roy Hendrickson and Kevin Killen. Billed as a Pre-CMJ Meet & Greet, AVATAR will open its doors to indie musicians, giving them a once in a lifetime opportunity to address their questions to this trio of engineer/producers.

A lottery will be held to randomly choose a select few artists to have a one-on-one 20 minute consultation with Lillywhite, Hendrickson or Killen. Furthermore, all attendees will be automatically entered into a drawing to win 10 free hours of recording time with the winner announced on Friday. Personal tours of the studio will be given by appointment throughout the week until Friday.

There will be no charge for this event; space is limited so admission is by RSVP only. Registration for the event may be done online at www.avatarstudios.net/cmj09.html. All questions for the panel must be submitted in advance at this same Internet address.

The “Ask The Producers” panel will take place at AVATAR STUDIOS, 441 West 53rd Street (between 9th – 10th avenues). Doors open at 6PM, panel will be held from 6:30 – 7:30 followed by studio tours, consultation meetings and schmoozing
