LOS ANGELES, Calif. /Music Industry Newswire/ — Sleek beats and eerie melodies highlight ‘We All Love Bright Shiny Things,’ the new album from Jonny Harmonic, now on iTunes from Golosio Publishing (www.golosio.com). Harmonic is a mystifying musician no one has ever seen. “The guy comes in to record whenever no one else is present,” states John Scott G, producer and composer at Golosio. “That may be what frees him to play in such an unusual yet attractive way.”

The dozen songs on “Bright Shiny Things” had demos created by G at the Golosio studios starting last year. Performances by the reclusive Harmonic took place after midnight but before sunrise and only on odd-numbered days.

“Not only has nobody seen Jonny Harmonic,” G notes, “we’re not even sure his photographs are accurate.”

Golosio Publishing is pleased with the music on “We All Love Bright Shiny Things.” One track, called “Explosive Chill,” seems to sum up the album’s musical approach by combining laid-back electronica with supernatural tunes that would suit a modern foreign film. “Bright Sun at Midnight at the Top of the World” is psychedelia that hypnotizes. “Snakeneck” is an evil slow dance tune. “88 Gates of Knowledge” is an ethereal and contemplative track. In addition to releasing the songs on iTunes, there are ten music videos on YouTube and FookMovie.com.

About Jonny Harmonic
This is the written statement supplied by the artist in a request for a bio: “Mr. Harmonic has no comment on rumors linking him to any ex-television series star currently in rehab.”

About John Scott G
Starting out as The G-Man, creator of eight albums of electronica, Mr. G is currently the managing partner of Golosio Publishing. He now writes songs in pop and country genres and oversees the recordings of the Bella Swan Bass Society.

About Golosio Publishing
Other songwriters working with Golosio include Doug Colosio and Scott Joss (country, Texas swing), James Sotelo (rock and electronica), and DJ Insane (trance), as well as many country music writers. Doug Colosio has written with Merle Haggard and is featured on the Sony Acid “American Piano” recording. Scott Joss has collaborated with both Haggard and Dwight Yoakam. Golosio music has been heard in commercials for Verizon Wireless, Goodyear, the Auto Club, Micron, General Dynamics, and numerous regional brands.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. /Music Industry Newswire/ — Introducing Jonny Harmonic, a mysterious musician who has never been seen in public. Some say he is a phantom, some say he is imaginary, but he has a new album from Golosio Publishing (www.golosio.com) called “We All Love Bright Shiny Things.” All twelve songs on “Bright Shiny Things” were composed and produced by John Scott G of Golosio, with performances by the reclusive Harmonic who would only visit the studio alone and in the middle of the night.

“We left milk and cookies out for him, just like for Santa Claus,” G stated. “He ate and drank everything, but the cleaning crew says the empty milk glass always smelled like scotch, whiskey or rye.”

About the Songs:
“Explosive Chill” combines laid-back electronica with eerie melodies that would be more at home in an experimental art movie. “Bright Sun at Midnight at the Top of the World” is pretty psychedelia. “Snakeneck” is an evil dance tune. “88 Gates of Knowledge” is an ethereal and contemplative track that composer G says is “drenched in reverie for the good times shared while two lovers are in an altered state of mind.”

All songs are on iTunes and videos for ten of the songs are on YouTube and FookMovie.com. The artistic industrial-erotic album cover photo is by Snook with art direction by Phil Hatten Design.

About Jonny Harmonic:
This is the written statement supplied by Jonny Harmonic in a request for a bio: “Mr. Harmonic has no comment on rumors linking him to Salvador Dali or anyone mentioned in the tabloids.”

About Golosio Publishing:
In addition to Scott G, songwriters working with Golosio include Doug Colosio and Scott Joss (country, Texas swing), James Sotelo (rock and electronica), and DJ Insane (trance), as well as many country writers. Doug Colosio has written with Merle Haggard and is featured on the Sony Acid “American Piano” recording. Scott Joss has collaborated with both Haggard and Dwight Yoakam.

Golosio music has been heard in commercials for many national and regional brands, including Verizon Wireless and General Dynamics.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. /Music Industry Newswire/ — Golosio Music Publishing (www.golosio.com) is celebrating songs released in Europe, Australia and North America, each of which has a music video on YouTube and FookMovie. “The international response to our songs is very exciting,” notes firm partner John Scott G, “especially since Golosio is a relatively new music publishing company.”

Most recently, Toronto-based artist Paul Manchin recorded “You Are Love,” a song written by G, with production by Matt Forger (Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Yuming). “Paul and Matt took a CHR approach to the song and were so intrigued by it that they mixed three versions with different vocal and instrumental approaches,” G noted.

Last year, DJ Insane and The G-Man collaborated on “Dance Trance” and the track is a regular part of the EU touring set of DJ Insane, who is based in The Netherlands. The song was written by G, Doug Colosio, and Marcel Oosterom.

“Dream of You and Smile” is a song that was tracked by new artists Candice and Nadinne, twin sisters who are making news in Australia’s country music scene. The tune was composed by Doug Colosio, Greg Colosio, Scott Joss, Candice Austin, and Nadinne Riddell. “Candice and Nadinne get tremendous audience response whenever they sing this song,” G says, “and we’re all looking forward to their first tour of America.”

In the United States, Jan Linder-Koda teamed with Marty Rifkin to record two Golosio songs, “Amazed by the Light That is You” and “Destined to be One.” Also in the U.S., rapper Mel J is working on her first album of Golosio songs, and James Sotelo has finished an entire album for Golosio entitled “Blast of Fast,” with all tracks in the groove-electronica genre.

About Golosio Publishing
In addition to John Scott G, DJ Insane, Mel J, and James Sotelo, songwriters working with Golosio Publishing include Doug Colosio (country, soundtracks), Scott Joss (country, Texas swing), and country writers Greg Colosio, Dave Churchill, Dennis Barney, Jim Dyer, and Wayne Dean. “Doug has written with Merle Haggard while Scott Joss has collaborated with both Haggard and Dwight Yoakam,” notes G, “and you have heard Golosio music in commercials for Verizon Wireless, Goodrich, the Auto Club, Micron, General Dynamics, and numerous regional brands.”

Golosio is affiliated with the three major U.S. performing rights organizations, BMI (Golosio Publishing), ASCAP (Audio Masterworks), and SESAC (Golosio Audio Masterworks).

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Golosio Music Publishing (www.golosio.com) is just a few months old but it has discovered a new way to expand its catalog of songs. The rhythm tracks for a new groove song were created in the Los Angeles studio of John Scott G and then sent to Golosio songwriters, Doug Colosio in Redding, California, and James Sotelo in Portland, Oregon, where two different melodies were created.

“Presto, two songs from one,” states G. “The beat is the same, but these two writer/performers invented themes and textures that take the tune in unusual directions.”

Many of the songwriters in the Golosio company have expressed interest in this form of serial songwriting. “Now that we know this is an enjoyable project for everyone, we’ve decided to create an entire album of songs where there are at least two unique perspectives to each tune,” G added.

Meanwhile, videos were created for each version of the song, entitled “Audio Lab Test One” and “Audio Lab Test Two.” The videos, both of which were directed by the FookMovie artist’s collective, are available on YouTube as well as the FookMovie Web site.

Both videos contain images and film clips from the 1940s and 1950s, intercut with modern images to create a kind of “surrealistic art in motion,” states a spokesperson for FookMovie. There are also satirical titles and many sudden “shock cuts” and subliminal images scattered through the videos.

In addition to John Scott G, James Sotelo, and Doug Colosio, songwriters working with Golosio Publishing include Scott Joss (country, Texas swing), Mel J (hip hop), and DJ Insane (trance), as well as country writers Greg Colosio, Dave Churchill, Dennis Barney, Jim Dyer, and Wayne Dean. Doug Colosio has written with Merle Haggard while Scott Joss has collaborated with both Haggard and Dwight Yoakam.

You have heard Golosio music in commercials for Verizon Wireless, Goodyear, the Auto Club, Micron, General Dynamics, and numerous regional brands. Golosio is affiliated with the three major U.S. performing rights organizations, BMI (Golosio Publishing), ASCAP (Audio Masterworks), and SESAC (Golosio Audio Masterworks).

For more information about song licensing or to commission the creation of a new song, contact John Scott G at 818-223-8486.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. /Music Industry Newswire/ — With hooded figures dancing under a full moon, spectral guitarists torturing their instruments, and large-suited men manipulating stomp boxes, amplifiers and mixing boards, the latest video from FookMovie (www.fookmovie.com) is an explosion of color that matches the sound of “Elephant Gerald,” the new song from James Sotelo. Produced by John Scott G and directed/edited by Nicholas Laurence G, the “Elephant Gerald” music video attempts to hypnotize and seduce viewers with fantasy overlays of subliminal images, including zombies and madonnas, all while showcasing new and classic recording gear from the most recent trade show known as NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants). “With the people hidden under the hoods, this video is like a commercial for paganism,” Scott G said.

Composer and guitarist James Sotelo has completed this new work for an album of pieces that explore the outer reaches of fast-paced sonics. “James is operating where industrial music has decided to ravish pop music,” Scott G states. “Some of my friends call this ‘attention deficit disorder rock’ and we’re still trying to decide if they mean it in a good or a bad way.”

Altogether, FookMovie has created music videos for more than 40 songs. “We’ve had several videos banned by YouTube and were informed by Veoh that our account was cancelled due to excessive nudity in several videos,” notes Scott G, “so FookMovie is the best place to see everything. Besides, we’re filming in hi-def now and you can see everything on our site.”

FookMovie is the video production unit of Golosio Publishing. Other songwriters working with Golosio include Scott Joss (country, Texas swing), Doug Colosio (country, blues, soundtracks) Mel J (hip hop), and DJ Insane (trance), as well as country writers Greg Colosio, Dave Churchill, Dennis Barney, Jim Dyer, and Wayne Dean.

Golosio music has been used in commercials for Verizon Wireless, Goodyear, the Auto Club, Micron, General Dynamics, and numerous regional brands. Golosio is affiliated with the three major performing rights organizations in the United States. The three companies are Golosio Publishing (BMI), Audio Masterworks (ASCAP) and Golosio Audio Masterworks (SESAC).

LOS ANGELES, Calif. /Music Industry Newswire/ — With images inside of images and a nod to such masters of visual communication as surrealist Salvador Dali, the music videos of FookMovie (www.fookmovie.com) bring together poetry, painting, and performance art. A Los Angeles-based collective of artists, musicians and videographers, FookMovie has completed 43 videos since opening in April of 2008. “FookMovie is the visual production division of Golosio Publishing,” states John Scott G (recording artist The G-Man) “and one of our goals is to appeal to the poet and artist inside of everyone who browses the Web looking for music and video entertainment. We tell people many of our videos are visual poetry or eye haiku.”

The video to “Thorne” is loaded with religious and psychological symbolism, including images relating to death, baptism, repression, violence, molestation, resurrection, and redemption. Director Nicholas Laurence G spent six weeks putting the video together using multiple layers of visuals.

The surrealism in “88 Gates of Logic” is sometimes eerie, notes Scott G, “although it is most often playful and humorous, albeit in a moody sort of way. But those qualities describe the music of ’88 Gates’ so it’s a perfect fit.”

There is emotional punch in the video to “Beautiful World.” Accompanying the country swing big band song performed by Scott Joss and Doug Colosio are images of burning wedding and anniversary announcements. “The sense of loss is incredibly strong, and this feeling accurately mirrors the lyrics of the song written by Wayne Dean, Joss and Colosio,” Scott G points out.

The FookMovie Web site has all videos in QuickTime and offers links to the videos on YouTube and Veoh. “The mature-themed videos are only on Veoh because they have a category for 18+ content,” G notes, “but they are on our site with warning labels.”

About John Scott G

Scott is a partner in Golosio Publishing (BMI), Audio Masterworks (ASCAP) and Golosio Audio Masterworks (SESAC) in Los Angeles. Music created by artists signed to Golosio has been in commercials for Verizon Wireless, Goodrich, The Auto Club, DIRECTV, Micron, Legoland, General Dynamics NASSCO and many others. A member of The Recording Academy (www.grammy.com) and on the Board of NARIP, The G-Man has 8 albums on iTunes.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — With a mixture of rock, trance, ambient and classical music, composer Scott G (recording artist The G-Man) creates a near-psychedelic journey on “Burning Man Soundscapes.” The 14 instrumental tracks are all influenced by the Burning Man social experiment held annually on the Playa in the Nevada desert. Song titles like “Serpent in a Pin Stripe Suit,” “Lovemaking Montage” and “Industrial Dark & Magic” hint at the psychedelic atmosphere of the album.

Like the orchestral music by Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915), composer Scott G is hoping listeners to the “Burning Man Soundscapes” tracks achieve a state of synesthesia, where senses become blended and there is a euphoric reaction to the pure sonics and beats.

“Scriabin wanted to create a musical work that would be so all-encompassing that at its conclusion the world would dissolve in bliss,” G stated. “While I would also enjoy seeing that, I am setting my sights on inducing bliss in individual listeners. Or at least making them move their hips,” G added.

“Burning Man Soundscapes” is available on iTunes along with all other albums by The G-Man.

Five videos have been made to songs from the album. The collective called FookMovie created videos to “Uniquetown, USA,” “Tribalism Tones,” “Keyboard Flavor Monkey,” “The Bolero Challenge,” and “Industrial Dark and Magic.”

Images from these fast-paced and sometimes surrealistic productions include radically altered photos of the artist, keyboards and guitars underwater, a monkey playing musical instruments, and the artist strobe-morphing into a gorilla. “Viewers can go ape with them,” states NLG, a director at FookMovie.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — When Scott G began to mix The G-Man’s new album, “Audio Takes a Stand” produced by Songs and Soundtracks, he was shocked to see that an unseen entity had completed it for him. “I started to assign levels to the separate tracks of bass, drums, keyboards and guitars — the process known as mixing — but it had already been done,” G states. “It’s my studio, my computers, and I’m the only one with the password, so the gear has a mind of its own or the spirit of the little boy on the cover of the album did the mixing for me.”

Not only were volume levels and sonic frequencies established for each song, the amount of each instrument in the left and right channels was also set. “The ghost created a nice stereo mix,” G says.

Each of the 12 songs on “Audio Takes a Stand” (www.audiotakesastand.com) is a multi-layered instrumental that uses a combination of rock, dance and ambient sounds to create subliminal reactions from listeners. Described as “sonic applications of hypnotic euphoria,” the album is the culmination of a 3-album journey that began with “Crazed + Dazed” and continued with “Burning Man Soundscapes.”

Songs range from the Pink Floyd-influenced “Angels Behind Your Eyes,” to the Zappaesque “Then Comes the Strange.”

There are videos for 4 of the album’s songs by the FookMovie production company: “Free Nude Photos,” “Beep Logic,” “Dreams on the March,” and “Go West on East Avenue.” To view the “Beep Logic” video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATjLu9Q8hwE
